$$$ -- Whip Prices  --  $$$

Prices and terms are as follows:

$10 a foot with a $50 minimum.  It is $10 extra per whip to match a pair.  Shipping and handling in the US is by priority mail at $6.50 for a single whip and 9.20 for a pair.  I make 'em as fast as it is fun to do and subject to life happening.  I make no guarantees at all, ever, about when I will be able to deliver a whip.  What I do guarantee is here.  Some colors may have to be ordered and that takes a couple of weeks.  Some colors require an additional charge.  That hot pink (h) color would be a good example of one that I would charge extra to order.

Whips over 7 foot are priced at $15 a foot since they are triple plaited, that is there is a core and a 8 plait belly and a 10 plait underplait and a 12 or 14 plait overplait.

Martial whips are also $15 a foot since they are also plaited and weighted differently and are therefore more difficult to make.  Martial whips are usually made with Delrin handles.  Delrin is expensive and therefore Delrin handles are extra too depending on what you want.

Handles are generally 12 inches on whips that are less than 6 feet and 14 to 16 inches above 6 feet.  Your preferences matter.  Let me know what you want.  I can't exactly match handles.  Sorry bout that but I just don't run a lathe that well.  I consider it a victory if I finish the day without requiring professional repairs on my body.  I recommend that you talk to Josh about closely matched handles.

Once we agree on a price, you may send a check or use the PayPal button on the home page of the DallasDogsled web site.  You are hereby cautioned that whip cracking is a calculated risk sport and contains inherent risks and dangers (including serious injury, disfigurement or dismemberment), that no amount of care, caution, instruction, or expertise can eliminate.  By ordering a whip you agree to hold harmless all but yourself and to read and abide by all of the safety procedures located on the Whip Safety Page.

Sayoc turned handles are $35 extra.  I don't make them, an expert does.

I may or may not have the color you want in stock.  The more common ones I generally do.  It seems to usually take 2 weeks to order and receive delivery of a special color.  I will generally order special colors for $20 to handle shipping handling and stocking something not many folks want (h) is a good example of that.
